Fruit Salad
Eating better is one of the key ingredients to a healthier life. I know it is so much easier to grab something from a fast food restaurant or heat up a prepared frozen dinner. That’s a short time fix that will lead to long-term problems if you are not careful. Eating healthy doesn’t always take a lot of time.
Recently, I created a fruit salad that only took a few minutes of preparation time. Let’s see what’s in my fruit salad: mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and Juan Canary melon. That’s all, but doesn’t it look delicious? I put this all together, set it in the refrigerator overnight so all the different juices would soak in. We had a wonderful dessert the next evening. I’m taking some to work with me today for lunch.
I thought of a shorter preparation time for the future: frozen fruit. If you are thinking you don’t have time to put several different bags of fruit together – there are bags of mixed fruit available. Just put the fruit in a bowl with a lid and stick in the refrigerator. How easy is that?
I do not have a recipe for fruit salad, because it depends on my mood and what fruit we have in the house. These particular fruits were used, because I love them, but not all my family members do. One picks out the strawberries and another picks out the mangoes, but at least they will eat the rest.
Life is good! God is great! All is well in my world!
Blessings,
Genie
