There is hope

Pathways

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about spiritual paths and how we are all on own pathway.  It seems to me that we are all headed to the same destination, but we all take different paths to get there.  To me it doesn’t matter which religion you choose for your walk along the path nor does it seem to matter if you choose not to choose a particular religion to follow as long as you and God are clear as to which path you take to our common destination.

I’m also thinking that there no such thing as someone who is spiritually superior to another.  We all have our individual paths and sometimes we switch paths when we come to a crossroad; but this spiritual journey we all are on is an inside job.  There is not a source outside our self that should choose where we are on the path nor should any outside source tell us which way we should go when we reach a crossroad.  That is an internal decision that you make with God’s assistance.

I believe that we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others; instead I believe we should compare our self of today to our self of yesterday.  I know that I am only concern with comparing myself of today with the person I used to be.  I am a much better than I used to be.

As you go along your path to our common destination are you listening to your inner voice or are you letting the world at large guide your way? Is the person you are today a better person than you were yesterday, last week or last year?

Life is good!  God is great! All is right in my world.

Many Blessings,

  1. We can’t travel on anyone else journey. Our relationship with God is personal. Some may try to judge others’. But their judgement means nothing. We are all children of God and we answer to him. The past is the past and we must forgive ourselves, because the Lord already has.

Great writing. I believe the same thing.

  2. I always like to say…be your own guru : )

  4. Oops, meant to say, Love your post . . . 🙂

  5. Love you post Genie . . . reminds me of a story I read somewhere about the very thing you wrote about here. Everyone is trying to climb the mountain, all is using a different path. The ones who reach the top are the ones who plod along day after day and eventually arrive. The ones at the bottom who are constantly going around trying to tell everyone that they are on the wrong path, never, ever get to the top. Huh? Go figure, right?
    Thanks! 🙂

  6. Interesting stumble! glad to see positivity and introspection all pervading!
