Becoming Positive
My healing journey has been a long one so long it’s no longer in my memory of when I started on the journey itself. What I can tell you is what worked for me. It was trial and error process and I’m hoping my sharing what I worked for me will shorten the journey for you. The first step, I took was to change myself from a pessimist to an optimist. Not an easy task, but it turns out it was doable.
Some of the tools/techniques I used to become a positive person: affirmations, journal writing, forgiving those who harmed me, became a volunteer, gave away items I hadn’t used in over a year, found a spiritual home, stopped hanging around negative people, found new friends who are positive and supportive, started new hobbies and found interesting free events happening in my community. There are endless opportunities and activities that are available that will assist you in creating a positive path. Just remember if it doesn’t bring you peace, let it go.
Be a positive force for good and expect amazing things to come your way, because that is how it works.
In 2007, I posted online an article called “It’s Your Attitude” under the pen name of Genie Walker. Genie is my nickname and someday, I’ll write why I was given this nickname. To read my article, here is the website: http://voices.yahoo.com/its-attitude-496284.html?cat=72.
Life is good! God is great! All is right in my world.
Many Blessings,
Genie
